BANK WORKERS REQUIRED TO COVER SHIFTS AND TAKE HOLIDAYS IN THE UK OR ABOARD WITH YOUNG PERSON AND THEIR FAMILY

Salary: £18 per hour weekdays, £19 per hour weekends, £36 per hour bank holidays
Any overnight support agreed in advance for holidays and short breaks is paid at the hourly rate in line with the national minimum wage.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a team of workers providing support to a 15-year-old at home to encourage and promote independence, relationships, follow therapy programmes and act as a companion for participating in outdoor pursuits. Our client has an acquired brain injury with some mobility difficulties, communication difficulties and difficulties with eating, which requires provision of a high calorie diet of a smooth consistency.
You are expected to have proficient written, communication, problem-solving and care skills. All essential and specific training will be given to help you fulfil your role.
If you do not hold a valid NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) we will enrol you on to The Care Certificate qualification, which we expect you to complete within your first 6 months of employment.
Person Specification:
- Dynamic, friendly and active individual with willingness to participate in outdoor activities and those involving other family members is essential
- Patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism are essential for this position
- Experience of working with family’s and/or in the community is essential
- Previous experience working with young people with a complex Brain Injury or other disability is essential
- Full Drivers’ Licence essential
- Must be over 25, to be insured to drive the clients’ vehicle, and a mature and confident driver to facilitate outings in the client’s larger vehicle (essential)
